Well today I just got back from my round the world training which consisted of 24 hours broken down into travel, limited sleep, and my first attempt at getting a visa. Right now the situation is that I don't currently have a visa to enter Brazil which is vital Normally someone would freak out in this situation but if you know me I rarely panic in any situation and by the grace of some higher power things usually work out for me. I know that luck will be running out sometime soon but you know I have to test the limits. Well I'm not the best writer so subscribing to this blog will not ensure you anything but laughter because my stories are usually interesting and original. Well the picture is of a barbie wife and her family that was in Chicago while I was getting my visa. Enjoy!!

James being James... how appropriate - the story of my life, his mother, for the last 23 years. I can tell you that him waiting two weeks before leaving to get the visa for Brazil was stressful for me. But once again, the gods for the rebellious worked magic and it was ready in four days. He did already book a hostel in Brazil and has all his meds for maleria and other various maladies so something is going right. As the days wind down to these last 5 the experience is becoming surreal for me.

You are such a fool. I was wondering why that picture was sitting there until I read your message. I laughed so loud. Of course you know that your Auntie Carol is proud of you as long as you stay out of trouble,take care of yourself and be safe. As I see you plan for this trip, which is something I wanted to do when I was young (28),I hope you take it seriously and know that some of those people in Brazil, etc. is more experienced and smarter than you. They kill and steal without blinking their eyes. They can play you, believe me, don't try to outsmart them, just use your brain and THINK BEFORE YOU ACT. See you before you depart.
I can't believe the time has come for you to start on your travels. I'm really excited for you and hope you have a wonderful experience. Auntie Carol is right - you are such a fool - but you seem to lead a charmed life. I enjoy you and love you. Take good care of yourself and be careful.

Cha Cha and Bon Bon are reading your blog and I know you are doing great!!! and will do great! You are smart and will make the best of any situation that comes to you!! anytime that you need that pull it together speech you know where to call! We also saw the beestrooo the other day and she said she feels a hand and jones is still sleeping on the chair!!
Your writing skills will get better keep us all updated I will be checking it each day. Because your stories are original and outrageous. We are so excited about all of them.

Hey James. When I read your blog, it's like reading a book. It doesn't sound as if Brazil is as much fun as you imagined. Hopefully Argentina will prove to be a lot better. Are you having a hard time finding good American food or are you trying the local cultural food. You may want to consider accumulating your comments into a journal or perhaps a book. I been reading your blogs and all your wonderful and not so wonderful adventure. Seems to me though a whole lot of it is inside bars, sports, etc. :) :) really, just chuckle. I'm going to assume not a whole lot of highlight about nature, rain forest,and real culture as yet. Hopefully after your 23 hours ride you'd have more to share about the culture & people in your surroundings.
So are you off to Argentina as yet. Is that your 23 hours ride. Anyways, hang in there and take care. Miss you a lot now that you are not close to home.
